Tovah Feldshuh presented the George Mayer Award to Foundation President Jeffrey Steinman.Īttendees also enjoyed performances by Reeve Carney Derek Smith and Tom Hewitt, who joined host Page in a tribute to Taymor and Luis Quintero, Mark Martin, and Sarin Monae West, who previewed Red Bull's upcoming production of Medea: Re-Versed by, Quintero's rap adaptation of Euripedes' Medea. Harry Lennix presented the Matador Award to Taymor. Hosted by Tony nominee Patrick Page, the evening also featured the presentation of the George Mayer Award for Extraordinary Service to Classical Theater to the Axe-Houghton Foundation.
